TTC Subway Photo

July 25, 2010 Leave a comment

I was standing around in a Toronto Subway station waiting for the train, and playing with my digital camera. I started taking pictures of the advertisements on the wall. When the train came, I snapped a picture of the front of the train as it came into the station. The picture was unremarkable and poorly lit, so I deleted it.

After, I got onto the train, the conductor came on the PA system and made an announcement. “Riders, if you’re going to take photos of the train as it comes into the station, please please please give us some signal so we can make sure our hair is combed!”

A TTC driver that makes humour out of being photographed. Now there’s a surprise.

Sales at Infonec and NCIX

July 22, 2010 Leave a comment

From what I can tell, tit appears like the purpose of NCIX and Infonec’s sales are more to push certain brands and product lines versus announce any exciting new price points. As a customer, their sales announcements and e-mails are really dropping like a rock in terms of value.

Will I stop shopping at these places? Probably not. It just irks me. I guess this is just the way of  things in the fight for market share.

By the way, did anyone notice that in NCIX’s announcement of their new Markham warehouse, the cartoon graphics had not one single Asian person? Talk about ethnically cleansed!
